Im looking for some free or cheap photo editing software. In to photography and would like a program that easily lets me edit and mess with pictures.

any ideas?

Massive vote for Photoshop from me - 'tis the industry standard in photo editing as far as i'm aware. Been using it for years and love it. Very torrentable, wink wink, etc.

If you want "free free", you could do a lot worse than The GIMP. You can even get an extension for it so it looks and behaves loosely like Photoshop. Tried it, but was too used to PS to give it much perseverance.

Happy to help you find your way round Photoshop if you go down that route wink.gif

you may think i'm joking, but seriously... check out Paint.NET

http://www.paint.net

its suprisingly good, granted its not quite a photoshop but its free. For general functions, cropping, filtering, layer work etc. I found it to be fine.
